The Circle

About The Codex Circle

The Codex Circle is a workout-dating community inside thecodex.world. Invite-only. Credit-powered. Studio-backed. Launched in Lisbon and Dubai.

The market moment

78–79% of Gen Z users report dating-app burnout. Running clubs grew 3.5x on Strava in 2025. One in five Gen Z athletes has been on a date with someone they met at a running club. The market is moving from digital swiping to real-world connection — and no structured platform in Europe had captured this until The Codex Circle.

The product, in one sentence

Members spend Codex Credits to book workout dates at partner studios; SmartBalance routes the right mix of people to each class; connection happens in real life.

The two layers

The Codex Circle is structured as a public marketing layer (city guides, how-it-works, studio partner page) and a private gated member app (feed, match queue, booking, post-session). The public layer is SSR and fully crawlable; the private layer is noindex and never crawled.

Who runs it

The Codex Circle is operated by Codex Wellness, the European wellness marketplace at thecodex.world. It uses the same login, the same Codex Wallet and the same Codex Credit infrastructure as the rest of the platform.

Where it is

Lisbon and Dubai are the v1 launch cities. Expansion follows studio density — once a city has enough partner studios to fill a daily session feed, The Circle opens there.

Where is it available?
Lisbon and Dubai are the v1 launch cities. Additional European cities open as studio density crosses the threshold.
Why workout dating?
Gen Z reports 78–79% dating-app burnout. Run clubs grew 3.5x on Strava in 2025. One in five Gen Z athletes has gone on a date with someone they met at a running club. The market is moving from digital swiping to real-world connection — The Circle is the infrastructure for that shift.
How is this different from a fitness app?
Fitness apps optimise for solo workouts. Dating apps optimise for chat. The Circle does neither — it optimises for the in-person room, with a balanced mix of people, in a workout that has value on its own.
Is it really invite-only?
Yes. Gating on application keeps quality high and intent high. Most applications are reviewed within 48 hours.
